Architecture for Humanity (AFH) was a non-profit organization founded by Cameron Sinclair and Kate Stohr to improve living conditions and promote social justice through design. The organization was headquartered in San Francisco, California and had a global network of volunteer architects and designers. The origins of Architecture for Humanity can be traced back to Sinclair and Stohr’s efforts to provide design assistance to refugees in Kosovo during the late 1990swhere they saw the potential for design to address social and humanitarian issues.
