Christianity and the Social Crisis

Walter Rauschenbusch’s 1907 text is a cornerstone of the social gospel movement in the United States. He identified the profound moral and social crisis gripping the nation and argued that a true understanding of the Christian gospel must compel believers to actively engage in social reform. He saw the church as a catalyst for change.
