Morningside Renewal Council

The Morningside Renewal Council (MRC) emerged as a community-based effort in organizing the Morningside Heights neighborhood in New York City. MRC was assembled by residents, businesses, and local community leaders in response to ‘urban decay’, disinvestment, and the looming displacement of residents due to the expansion of Columbia University.
