Enterprise Community Partners (ECP), previously known as Enterprise Foundation, is a nonprofit founded in 1982 by James Rouse, a prominent developer and social entrepreneur who was involved in several urban revitalization initiatives across the United States. Rouse envisioned Enterprise as a vehicle to address the growing problem of substandard and inadequate housing in low-income communities. Working with thousands of community nonprofits, the organization has helped create close to a million homes in America.
